INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, FAMILY THERAPY, CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Kristene is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and has completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) through Yorkville University.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centred and individual-directed principles, with a strong emphasis on meeting each person where they are in their unique life journey. Kristene draws on attachment theory to inform her work, recognizing the foundational role that early relationships and emotional bonds play in shaping an individual's sense of self, coping mechanisms, and relational patterns. She views the therapeutic relationship as a secure base from which clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and foster healing. Believing that individuals are the experts in their own lives, Kristene promotes a collaborative and empowering environment where clients lead the direction of therapy. She helps clients identify and build on their strengths while supporting the development of meaningful, achievable goals. Through ongoing reflection and goal adjustment, she ensures therapy remains responsive to each person’s evolving needs.
Areas of Specialty: children, youth, and families with multi-agency involvement, reunification, age of majority transitioning, relational challenges, transitional life phases, and attachment.
